the mid rpm clatter/pivoting that happens when timing is kicked up (over 42 deg) in the 2.5 to 4K rmp range. When I was building up my engine, I conducted a poll of the ACTUAL Wiseco owners who had their car RUNNING, and found that over 80% had clatter. They were a new cheap desing and I decided to install them despite this thinking that people were just having bad rebuilds. I knew about the nipple on the bottom goes opp. of engine rotation; and EVEN went under Wiseco's specs. just to be safe. Guess what, they still clatter. This and talking to Mike W Smith and other builders let us to believe that the piston design is to blame. When I last talked to Brian Nutter at Wiseco he told me that there were no design plan changes. This means that until recently many people got pistons that will make the NOISE. The old design has clatter problems, but some people here rather argue than face the facts. Regards, George
